Studies for All

Around the world, higher education remains out of reach for many young people. According to UNESCO, 244 million children and adolescents are not in school. In low-income countries, only around 35 per cent of young people make it to university. Cost is a key obstacle: the World Bank estimates that around 80 per cent of students from low-income families are unable to continue their studies for financial reasons.

A lack of access to education not only limits individual life paths, but also holds back social development and independence in the long term.

Against this background, Fondation Aline takes targeted action with the Education Springboard Initiative. In keeping with its approach, it supports young people who show personal initiative but whose education is at risk for financial reasons.

With the Studies for all project, Fondation Aline provides concrete start-up support in the field of education. To launch the initiative, the Foundation is covering the study and training costs of a committed student who had to interrupt her studies due to serious financial difficulties.

This support creates the conditions for her to continue her studies and pursue her education with a reliable plan.

About the project

As part of the Education Springboard Initiative, Fondation Aline supports a young student whose academic path was jeopardised by financial pressures. She is in the second year of a three-year degree programme and had to interrupt her studies several times in 2025, as she could no longer afford the tuition fees and living costs.

Thanks to the support of Fondation Aline, she can resume her studies and continue them without interruption. The support gives her financial stability and enables her to concentrate on her education and complete it successfully.

In addition, the student would like to become involved with the Foundation in the future, in order to share her experience and encourage other young people. The Education Springboard Initiative thus shows in concrete terms how targeted educational support can have a lasting impact and make help for self-help possible.
